About Our Club

A community built around the beautiful game

Founded in 1980, Ballygawley Celtic FC has been the home of football in Ballygawley, Co. Sligo for over four decades. Our volunteers, parents, and coaches keep this club running because they believe football brings people together.

We field teams from U6 to U18, plus our Men's Senior side currently competing in the Sligo Leitrim & District Soccer League - Premier League after promotion in 25/26. We play at Ballygawley Community Park, where players train and compete in the spirit of fair play and development.

We hold FAI Club Mark accreditation, which recognises our standards in governance, coaching, child safeguarding, and community work.

Senior Football

Our Men's Senior team competes in the SLDSL Premier League after winning promotion from the First Division in 2025/26. The team also claimed the Frank Kennedy Memorial Cup that season.

Underage Development

From U6 to U18, we give young players a safe, fun environment to learn and grow.

Community First

Run by volunteers and driven by community spirit. Every coach, every parent, every supporter makes this club what it is.
